Why We Built It (The Problem)

Built for the joy of craft and family need. Moroccan parents could never find quality bedtime audio stories in their own dialect—every major storytelling app was exclusively in Egyptian, Classical Arabic, or French. Local linguistic idioms, folk tales, and emotional resonance were getting lost in modern digital childhood.

The Engineering Solution

We built a custom Darija speech synthesis and audio suite combining phoneme-accurate Moroccan Darija narrators, traditional acoustic instruments (Oud, Ney, Kanun), and an interactive ambient bedtime player designed for restful listening without screen addiction.

Why We Built It (The Problem)

We had a problem ourselves: finding reliable local Moroccan developers, translators, and creative freelancers meant navigating informal WhatsApp groups where clients fear paying upfront and freelancers fear doing work without getting paid. Foreign platforms (Upwork, Fiverr) charge 20% fees and enforce dollar payouts that are expensive and cumbersome to repatriate to Moroccan bank accounts.

The Engineering Solution

We engineered Tâches.ma: a high-trust marketplace with an automated escrow mechanism in Moroccan Dirhams (MAD). Budgets are locked upon order creation, milestone proofs of work are verified, and funds are automatically released to the performer's Moroccan bank account or wallet upon client approval.

Why We Built It (The Problem)

Moroccan private clinics and CHUs faced an opaque medical procurement ecosystem: manual paper tenders, unpredictable stock levels, lot-number errors, and strict regulatory demands under DMP Law 84-12 and ISO 13485:2016. A missing suture or catheter batch can cancel scheduled surgeries.

The Engineering Solution

We built a digital B2B hospital supply chain platform for ULTIMED S.A.R.L. (established 2008, Bouskoura Hub), integrating 12,000+ medical reference codes directly with Sage 100 ERP. Clinics can check live stock, verify CE/IMANOR certifications, request instant volume pricing, and track cold-chain lot deliveries in real time.

Why We Built It (The Problem)

Finding life-saving Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and emergency clinic equipment in Morocco was broken. Suppliers refused to publish prices, enforcing 3-week quotation delays and arbitrary markups. Corporate safety directors, sports stadiums, and private clinics had no objective way to compare biphasic waveforms, battery lifespans, or pediatric switch capabilities.

The Engineering Solution

We designed MediUnit.ma as Morocco's definitive clinical equipment intelligence portal. We introduced fully transparent MAD pricing, interactive feature comparisons, DMP and CE certification validation, and an educational repository of 145+ clinical guides cited by medical professionals across Morocco.

Why We Built It (The Problem)

Moroccan banks, fintechs, and e-commerce stores relied on foreign aggregators (Twilio, Infobip) that route SMS through European hubs, incurring 3x-5x international markups and 12-25% drop rates during flash sales. Crucially, sending Moroccan citizen phone numbers and transaction OTPs through foreign clouds directly violates Moroccan data sovereignty (CNDP Law 09-08).

The Engineering Solution

We architected EnvoiSMS.ma with direct SMPP/SS7 carrier connections inside Moroccan telecom nodes (IAM, Orange, Inwi). We built an ultra-high-throughput SMS queue engine guaranteeing sub-800ms OTP delivery and integrated a Darija-capable WhatsApp AI bot that autonomously confirms Cash-on-Delivery orders and handles customer support.
